Prospan syrup is a herbal medicine that contains dried extract of ivy leaves (Hederae folium) as an active substance.

Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away. Prospan® Cough Syrup is a light brown, slightly cloudy syrup. It contains a plant extract as the active ingredient and its colour and taste can therefore occasionally vary. This, however, does not affect the quality of the preparation. Prospan syrup is administered in the morning, at noon and in the evening. The syrup is administered with a measuring cup attached to the vial. It is recommended to shake the bottle vigorously before use. Prospan Cough Syrup is used for Cough, Bronchitis, Sore or watering eyes and other conditions. Prospan Cough Syrup 100ml thins out the mucus in the lungs to relieve chesty, wet coughs. It also helps improve breathing and reduces coughing episodes. Alcohol-, sugar- and colourant-free. Preservatives:potassium sorbate 0.134% m/v. 2.5 ml of solution contains 0.963 g sorbitol = 0.08 BU.
